I called Apple again yesterday morning, only to discover that they had failed to dispatch my box for the second time. The woman with whom I spoke assured me that she would follow it up this time, and ensure that it actually went out.

Naturally, I didn’t trust Apple Europe’s competence enough to take it completely for granted, so I called them up again this morning. Miraculously, they had managed to dispatch it this morning.

I was even more impressed when UPS turned up the same afternoon with the packing box, and took away my computer, nicely sealed up in its protective cocoon and with a security sticker on the outside. At this rate, I’ll have it back by the beginning of next week, all of which makes it incredibly annoying that I had to wait this long to get it started.
