Free energy
Via a text ad on Google, I came across this interesting, albeit dubious, site: Spin Wave Technology from the Vasant Corporation. They claim that their research “concludes that a few devices could generate economically free energy”.
Yeah, right.
If you’ve just discovered a way to generate energy for free, what do you do? Well, if you are Vasant Corporation, you sell a book. Call me cynical, but something tells me that generating free energy might be just a teeny bit more profitable than selling books about it—even at $49 a copy. That does of course assume that generating energy for free, out of nowhere, is actually possible... Some people seem to believe it, nevertheless.
Incidentally, if anyone wants to buy some plans for a perpetual motion device, send me an email and they can be yours for the low, low price of only $29.99. I also have a guaranteed design for a portable cold fusion reactor, also at $29.99. Alternatively, get the pair for only $49.99!*
* Plans are for entertainment purposes only. Purchaser assumes all responsibility for loss of life, limb, sight, hearing, taste, or other faculties that may result from the construction of the designs offered. Warning: use of perpetual motion device may emit gravometric waves, leading to abduction and rectal probing by grey space aliens. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to check whether his or her health insurance covers intrusive exploratory surgery and mind-control device implantation by extraterrestrials prior to embarking upon construction of the designs offered for sale here. Cold fusion reactor requires highly radioactive supplies that may not be available in all jurisdictions. Consult your local government, militia, warlord, or insectoid overlord representative for more information.
