As reported by BBC News, a UN report warns about world population growth:

The United Nations has published new predictions on the size and age of the world’s population 300 years from now.

It says that if fertility stays at the current level, the global population could rise to 134 trillion.

...

The report says the increase is a clear indication that fertility levels are unsustainable.

Fortunately, however, British teenagers appear to be doing their bit in Darwinian fashion, according to the Guardian:

The binge drinking, drug taking, sexually careless behaviour of today’s adolescents is setting them up to become the most obese and infertile generation of adults ever, warns a report from Britain’s doctors.

It’s not all good news, admittedly, but at least it looks as if Britain won’t be contributing to global overpopulation!
