This is the most pointless invention that I’ve seen in a long time: the wi-fi surfboard.

It’s a surfboard with a computer built in. Apart from the obvious lexical link between surfing and, er, surfing, I can’t see any other so-called “synergies”, and I don’t think that that is entirely attributable to a lack of imagination on my part.

[A] surfboard has now been developed that lets surfers surf while surfing... It houses a laptop, solar panels, and video camera, and is to launch at the Intel GoldCoast Oceanfest on 18 June.

And I thought that the internet fridge was a stupid idea...
