This Ananova news report really caught my eye. According to the story, some Taiwanese scientists have accidentally created a fluorescent fish with two heads:

[The scientists] genetically engineered the two-headed fluorescent zebrafish during studies into muscular dystrophy.

Experts from the Academia Sinica put a gene that causes muscle death into 200 zebrafish embryos.

One of them unexpectedly developed 24 hours later into the two-headed fish, which has two hearts.

I don’t think that zebrafish are generally eaten, even in that part of the world, where the culinary repertoire is less inhibited than other cultures. That may be for the best. Two-headed glowing fish head soup, anyone?
