EuRuKo 2005

I’m off to Munich tomorrow for EuRuKo—the European Ruby Conference—2005. I’m looking forward to some of that solid Bavarian cuisine and Weizenbier, to seeing what my fellow Rubyistas have been up to, and to meeting some friends from last year’s event.

I’ll also be giving a small talk on Using Unicode in Ruby, which I’ll be publishing on here later.

I’m going by aeroplane this year. Last year, I took the night train. That wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t a convenient journey with all the changes. The price for a return flight isn’t cheap, but the train worked out even more expensive. There’s no contest, really.

Hi Paul, still remember I was told you had a good time at EuRuKo in Munich last year, hope you keep enjoying the conference and have spare time appreciating the beautiful buildings again. I like your topic on Unicode, looking forward to reading more soon. Have a safe and nice trip! Regards/Emma
