Dangerous words

There are no dangerous words, only dangerous ideas. And if the words attributed to him are accurate, Franco Frattini is an idiot. An idiot with dangerous ideas.

‘I do intend to carry out a clear exploring exercise with the private sector … on how it is possible to use technology to prevent people from using or searching dangerous words like bomb, kill, genocide or terrorism,’ Frattini told Reuters.

If he gets his way, you won’t be able to find music:

Or films:

Or historical events:

Or parliamentary bills:

Or news articles about Mr Frattini himself:

Or even bomb recipes:

While we’re at it, let’s add ‘stupid’, ‘idiot’, and ‘dumbass’ to the list of proscribed words, so that people don’t find articles criticising this kind of thinking.

Damn, I had ‘google how to start a genocide’ as my first step, I’ll give up.
